What the check looks at
Seven things a customer or Google notices first. Each one gets a plain pass, needs work, or fail, with what we saw and how to fix it.
Secure connection (HTTPS)
Does the page load over https://, and does the old http:// address forward to it? Browsers label plain http pages "Not secure".
Speed basics
How fast your server answers, how heavy the page's HTML is, and whether scripts in the <head> hold the page back. For a full lab test we link you to Google PageSpeed Insights.
Mobile friendly
A viewport tag so phones use their own width, pinch-to-zoom left on, and CSS that adapts to small screens.
Title and description
The blue link and the two lines people see in Google, one main heading, a declared language, and no accidental noindex.
Text contrast (readability)
Text measured against its background, using the same WCAG AA contrast math our crew runs on every site we build.
Structured data (schema)
Machine-readable facts (LocalBusiness or a more specific type) that search engines and AI assistants use for your name, address, phone and hours.
Contact info is easy to find
A tap-to-call phone link, an email or form, a link to a contact or booking page, and an address when you have one.
What it can't tell you
- We read one page as our server receives it. We don't run JavaScript, so text added by scripts isn't seen.
- Speed is one request from Cloudflare's network, not a real phone. Google PageSpeed Insights runs the full lab test, and we link to it from every report.
- There is no score out of 100. One read of a page can't honestly support a number like that.
- Passing doesn't promise rankings or sales. These are the basics, not the whole job.
- Privacy: we keep the address you checked and the report for 30 days so you can share it. No email, no account, no cookie.
